What is AIDS-related lymphoma?

AIDS lymphoma is a malignancy (cancer) cells form of the lymphatic system of patients who have acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

AIDS is caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which attacks and weakens the body’s immune system. It is not immune from infection and diseases that invade the body fight. People with HIV disease are at increased risk of infections, lymphomas and other types of cancer.
